Derek Hermon
Derek began his cycling career as a BMX racer in the 1980’s. He also had a role in the manufacturing side of the cycling industry by developing and helping test products that have contributed to the evolution of the sport and its technological advancement. He currently races professionally in XC, Super-D, CycloCross and Enduro. Derek created the Grizzly 100 over a decade ago as a ride to challenge himself and his friends, which over the years has grown into the event you see today. Derek is dedicated to making the Grizzly 100 the best event possible and has adopted several trails which are part of the course and works every year on improving the event where possible!
